Tish Steenkamp
Holds the foundation in qigong and elemental organ work

Originally from South Africa, Tish has called Costa Rica home for the past 12 years, drawing inspiration and a deep sense of wellbeing from its natural surroundings.
Her journey began with yoga, but a diagnosis of chronic fatigue led her to discover qigong. The practice became a lifeline, a source of support, connection and renewal that inspired six years of dedicated study.
Trained in medical qigong, Tish shares gentle practices rooted in traditional teachings that nurture balance within the organs and harmony among the spirits of the five elements. Her approach weaves together personal experience and insights from her teachers, Rae Hazel and Stephanie Nosco, alongside ongoing study through online and in-person trainings.
At the heart of her work is a desire to make qigong accessible to people of all ages and abilities. With warmth and care, she invites others to explore movement, breath and stillness as pathways to greater vitality and connection with themselves. Tish remains a devoted student, continually deepening the practice that has brought so much meaning to her life.
